Job summary

Care for Kids in Houston is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our urgent care and primary care services for children. This role blends front desk responsibilities such as insurance verification and patient registration with clinical tasks like triage, radiology support, phlebotomy, vaccines, and EMR documentation.

Qualified candidates hold CMA or LVN credentials with a Texas license, BLS, and experience in pediatric settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care within the past 3 years.
• CMA (CMA, RMA) or LVN with Texas license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA-Waived Testing, and EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients upon arrival and coordinate with provider.
• Document visits in EMR (eMDs).
• Assist provider with procedures and patient care, including vaccines and labs.
• Administer and document medications as directed.
• Handle front desk tasks: insurance verification, patient registration, payments.
