Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar.
• Experience in or ability to learn the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Knowledge of pediatric to adult patient care, basic procedures, lifting, and emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, takes vital signs, prepares exam rooms, stocks supplies.
• Assists providers and other health care staff with procedures and intake/depart processes.
• Documents information accurately in the EMR.
• Prepares clinic for daily operations and monitors supplies/equipment.
• Uses clinical judgement and refers to RN as needed.
