Job summary

Shriners Children's Chicago is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant in our Outpatient Clinic.

The MA will support and facilitate clinic operations by performing clinical, clerical, and technical duties, including patient rooming, documentation during visits, assisting with minor procedures, managing supplies, supporting Telehealth services when applicable, and flexing to administrative support when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for patient and family interactions.
• Clinical competence to perform MA duties and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, prep exam rooms, stock supplies.
• Assist RN and physicians with procedures and intake/depart processes.
• Document information in the EMR accurately.
• Ensure clinic readiness by monitoring supplies and equipment.
• Support Telehealth and administrative tasks as needed.
