Shriners Children’s is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Chicago. The MA will support clinic operations with patient rooming, vital signs, documentation in the EMR, and assistance with procedures under RN supervision.

Required: High School Diploma, national MA certification, and BLS; preferred: 2+ years pediatric care and an Associate degree (RMA/CCMA/NCMA). Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• Strong communication skills and teamwork
• High School Diploma or GED required
• AMA/NHA/NCRMA/NAHP Medical Assistant Certification required (national)
• BLS certification required
• Preferred: Associate degree (RMA/CCMA/NCMA) and 2+ years pediatric care experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Responsabilidades

• Assist in rooming patients and taking vital signs.
• Document information in the EMR during visits.
• Support procedures and intake/depart processes under RN direction.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for daily clinic needs.
• Monitor supplies and coordinate with other departments.
• Provide patient and family education as needed.
