Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Rockville, MD is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator to lead nursing care delivery for pediatric patients, coordinating with physicians and the care team across telephonic, electronic, in-person, and mail encounters.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of nursing experience, with pediatric experience and leadership exposure; you will drive evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-family centered care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year pediatric experience in a comparable setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated nursing leadership experience (e.g., charge nurse, educator, preceptor, council chair).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of the patient care delivery team for a specific patient population.
  • Coordinate care across physicians, and other providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Apply evidence-based practice and participate in performance improvement processes.
  • Ensure continuity of care and maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions.
  • Engage patients and families in shared decision-making and coordinate across systems.
