Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Program Coordinator to provide administrative and program support to plan, implement and coordinate programs, events and educational activities, and to administer policies and procedures as well as office management.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with budget and personnel administration, and proficiency in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint to support researchers and clinicians in a dynamic

Qualifications

  • 3 years Experience in program administration involving academic, medical or research activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events (Required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with department budgeting and personnel administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative tasks across divisional operations and systems.
  • Train and mentor investigators and staff on processes; assign workloads and priorities.
  • Maintain and process employee time cards and attendance records.
  • Prepare and proof complex administrative and contractual documents, correspondence, memoranda, letters, presentations and reports.
  • Coordinate meetings and document minutes; maintain filing systems.
  • Assist with updates to the website, mailing lists, and office duties as needed.
