Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, invites applications for a Clinical Pathologist/Hematopathologist starting January 1, 2027. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Clinical Pathology with administration of laboratories across a major pediatric health system, including multiple CLIA licenses and hematopathology service.

Qualifications include MD/DO, pathology residency, and board eligibility/certification in CP and Hematopathology, with GA licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medicine.
• Successful completion of post-graduate pathology residency training program.
• Board certified or eligible in Clinical Pathology.
• Board certified or eligible in Hematopathology.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within the respective clinical area in compliance with hospital bylaws and policies.
• Participates in quality improvement and research findings integration into practice.
• Provides education resources for patients, families, and staff.
• Educate and assist trainees with medical decision making.
• Maintains accurate and complete medical records and reports.
• Completes necessary documentation and ensures timely communication for patient care and reimbursement.
• Responds to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
• Participates in meetings to support clinical operations.
