Job description

The Department of Pathology at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) is seeking a qualified individual for a faculty position in the Division of Community Pathology at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, a community campus north of Houston.

TCH The Woodlands is a freestanding pediatric hospital offering outpatient and hospital-based services, including an active Emergency Center, pediatric and neonatal critical care, and dedicated pediatric radiology and surgery services. The Woodlands offers natural beauty and a wide range of amenities.

This is an opportunity to deliver comprehensive pathology services in a community setting as part of the nation’s largest children’s hospital, headquartered in the Texas Medical Center in Houston and expanding across Texas.

Role and responsibilities
  • Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services.
  • Participate in cross-campus coverage as the sixth faculty member in the Division of Community Pathology.
Faculty appointment and practice
  • Work in a collegial division with support from experienced faculty and access to a broad scope of professional practice, including digital pathology.
  • Hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Be considered for a tenure-track or non-tenure-track appointment based on academic interests and demonstrated scholarship.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Required qualifications
  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP).
Preferred qualifications
  • Subspecialty certification or demonstrated interest.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric pathology is preferred.
