Job summary

Cook Children’s Physician Network in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a full-time hematopathologist/general anatomic pathologist to join the hematology/hematopathology team. The role includes directing the program and signing out a mix of hematopathology and general surgical pathology cases, with potential involvement in transfusion medicine and coagulation. Board-eligible/certified candidates preferred in pediatric hematopathology.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) and board certified/board eligible in hematopathology and anatomic or anatomic/clinical pathology.
• Board certification in pediatric pathology or experience in pediatric hematopathology is preferred but not required.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Direct the hematology/hematopathology program and sign-out a mix of hematopathology (including flow cytometry) and general surgical pathology cases.
• Collaborate with hematology/hematology-oncology and other clinical services to support patient care.
• Opportunity to participate in transfusion medicine and coagulation if interested.
