Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead night shift operations and ensure high-quality care for acutely ill or post-intervention patients. The CANM collaborates with Nursing Operations leadership to manage staffing, patient flow, and outcomes across the unit.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, Florida RN license or NLC, and BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
• May require ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC depending on assigned patient population.
• 1 year as a Registered Nurse; acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal patient flow.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing operations managers and care teams.
• Conduct Nurse Leader rounds and respond to patient/family and physician concerns.
• Participate in safety huddles and promote a culture of problem solving.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and appropriate staff allocation for shifts.
