Orlando Health is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead shift operations on an acute care unit, ensuring high-quality care and excellent patient experience. The CANM collaborates with Nursing Operations leadership to guide staffing, patient assignments, and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, maintaining regulatory readiness, and mentoring the nursing team while supporting safety, change management, and fiscal stewardship.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
• May require ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC depending on patient population.

Responsabilidades

• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts based on patient acuity and team skills.
• Coordinates patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve outcomes.
• Monitors status of patients, especially seriously ill patients.
• Coordinates and/or participates in delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and policies.
• Serves as a resource supporting frontline team members and providers.
• Supports clinical collaboration focusing on expected patient length of stay.
• Performs direct patient care activities as required to meet operational needs.
• Interfaces with patients and families to enhance customer experience via Nurse Leader rounds and addressing complaints.
• Participates in and/or leads safety huddles.
• Embraces change and problem solving.
• Assesses equipment needs to ensure staff have necessary equipment.
• Supports and sustains all leader-driven initiatives.
• Assists with retention strategies for new team members that foster a best-place-to-work environment.
• Maintains a regulatory ready environment of care.
• Ensures appropriate allocation/adjustment of staff and meal breaks.
