Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children seeks a Pediatric Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations in the clinical setting, ensuring high-quality care, exceptional patient experience, and optimal patient flow. The CANM collaborates with the Nursing Operations teams to guide unit operations, assignments, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Floridian RN licensure or NLC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certifications in area of expertise preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC).

Responsibilities

• Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health.
• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming/off-going shifts based on patient acuity.
• Coordinates patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners.
• Monitors patient status and supports direct care as required to meet physician orders.
• Serves as a resource for frontline team members and providers.
• Leads safety huddles and promotes change and problem solving.
• Ensures equipment needs are met and staff have necessary tools.
• Maintains regulatory readiness and supports retention initiatives.
