Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas, is seeking a Critical Care ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across MICU, SICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma, and Level III NICU. The role includes 7p-7a shifts, three days per week with rotating weekends, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a Texas RN license (or compact), BLS and ACLS, NIHSS stroke certification, and at least 1 year of critical care ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (TX licensing within 90 days).
• Current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
• NIHSS Stroke certification required.
• 1 year of clinical Critical Care ICU experience as a licensed RN in a hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate ICU nursing care with discharge planning.
• Monitor patient status and document interventions; escalate as needed.
• Administer medications safely per policy and state/federal regulations.
• Assist physicians with specialized exams, tests and procedures; uphold infection control and precautions.
• Respect patient privacy and coordinate education for patient and family.
