Job summary
Rutgers University is seeking a Health Care CFNP Management (Registered Nurse) for the Ocean North Office in Bayville, NJ, within the School of Nursing. The RN will support the Department of Children and Families/CP&P to meet the health and well-being needs of children in care, collaborating with families and health partners.
The role requires NJ RN licensure, pediatric nursing experience, and a valid NJ driver’s license for off-site visits; it offers the chance to impact vulnerable children
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health-related field; pediatric experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time pediatric nursing experience.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Vehicle and NJ license required for off-site visits.
Responsibilities
- Confer with CP&P casework staff to determine referral appropriateness and scope of CFN involvement.
- Assess child and family health needs using NJ health information systems and records; interview providers and parents.
- Conduct joint home visits with caseworkers with parental consent; attend pediatric subspecialty appointments as needed.
- Support the health plan developed by the primary medical home in collaboration with specialists and CP&P staff.
