Job summary

Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington state seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Department of Pediatrics. You will assist doctors, nurses, and patients with patient care and routine office tasks in a fast-paced pediatric clinic.

Required are immunization administration, medication administration per order, vital signs collection, and proficiency with electronic health record systems. A certified clinical medical assistant or registered medical assistant is required, along with

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience providing direct patient care in a pediatric clinic.
• Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training/certification is required and must be sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors, nurses, and patients with patient care and basic office administration.
• Immunizations and medications administered as ordered by health care providers.
• Collect patient vital signs and document in the electronic health record.
