Job summary

Seattle Children's in Washington state is seeking a Medical Assistant to support individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests. You will perform clerical tasks, chart preparation, stock clinic supplies and answer phones to keep clinic flow smooth.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; Washington DOH certification as Medical Assistant (or interim), and current BLS. Preferred candidates have completed an accredited MA program and relevant pediatrics or urgent care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• WA DOH Medical Assistant certification (or interim) prior to start date.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Preferred: graduation from an accredited MA program; pediatrics/urgent care experience; CMA/NMA certification eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests.
• Perform associated clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies and answering telephones.
• Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program

Medical Assistant - Certified or Interim Certification by WA DOH

Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
