Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience may substitute.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant certification/registration within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or RN.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Documents provider encounters and transcribes orders for tests and medications.

Education

High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
