Job summary

Ascension Medical Group's pediatrics clinic in Indiana seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in daily patient care. You will interview patients, record vitals, prepare exam rooms, and perform clerical tasks to keep the front and back offices running smoothly.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will assist with treatments, manage supplies, document encounters, and convey orders under supervision.

Qualifications

• Interviews patients, records vital signs and chart information.
• Performs treatments and basic clinical duties under supervision.
• Completes basic clerical tasks and materials management.
• Transcribes orders and documents encounters as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients, and transcribes orders.
