Responsibilities

  • Review medical records and assign ICD and CPT codes.
  • Code all outpatient record types daily.
  • Assist with coding audits as needed.
  • Monitor charge review work queues.
  • Code records timely and accurately.
  • Respond to billing staff coding questions to aid with denials.
  • Request information from physicians as needed.
  • Participate in educational programs and department meetings.
  • Perform duties as required by CBO Coding Manager/Director.
