Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to patient care areas, including answering phones, taking messages, posting schedules, and managing documentation in the EMR system.
  • Assists licensed nurses with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient information updates.
  • Supports basic patient care tasks under supervision (nutrition, activities, lab procedures) and transports items as needed.
  • Provides nursing station coverage during key periods and monitors patients as directed by a nurse.
  • Documents and communicates patient care needs and shift priorities to the team.
  • Orders and maintains department equipment and supplies per established standards and participates in quality improvement.
