ChristianaCare is offering a Winter Temporary Program for Registered Nurses in the Pediatric Care Center at the Newark Campus. The program offers two options: a 24-week track from Oct 25, 2026 to Mar 13, 2027, and a 12-week track from Dec 6, 2026 to Feb 27, 2027.

Positions feature 12-hour evening or night shifts, with 48 or 72 hours per pay period, and no unit floating. The Pediatric Care Center admits patients from birth to 17 years with conditions ranging from RSV to trauma.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent RN experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
• Registered Nurse experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care and/or Pediatric Stepdown required.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; ADN required.
• Epic-prepared and competent in assigned clinical area.
• Complete two days of orientation.
• Commit to either the 12-week or 24-week program.
• Meet weekend and holiday commitment.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients from birth through age 17 with conditions including RSV, sepsis, asthma, fractures, GI illnesses, injuries, fever, infections, abdominal pain, and more.
• Work in one assigned Pediatric Care Center unit for the duration of the program.
• Provide high-quality, family-centered care in a collaborative team environment.
