Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a patient care team member to join an interdisciplinary team delivering quality pediatric patient care. The role operates during the day, Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule under licensed supervision, emphasizing safety and compassionate care.

Experience is not required, but preferred candidates include those with pediatric healthcare exposure or related certification; BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred pediatric healthcare experience (2 years).
• Certification options include MA, EMT, CNA or PCT with pediatric or hospital experience, or a nursing student with a clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assists in basic delivery of patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Performs vital signs, patient triage, daily weights, feeding, bathing, and transfers.
• Maintains and uses department and patient care equipment as assigned.
• Communicates patient care activities and needs across shifts clearly.
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement of care and services.
• Acts as a role model for professional conduct and development of others.
• Provides age-appropriate care across Neonate to Adult populations as applicable.
