Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a patient care support professional to join an interdisciplinary team under licensed supervision. Phlebotomy experience is preferred and BLS certification will be required within 30 days.

The role emphasizes age-appropriate care, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced pediatric environment. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with dedicated support for safety and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• 2 years pediatric health care experience.
• Certification as Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA or PCT with pediatric or hospital experience, or RN student with clinical rotation, or at least 1 year of clinical healthcare experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the basic delivery of patient care under licensed professionals, including vital signs, triage, weights, feeds, baths, linen changes and transports.
• Maintains and uses department and patient care equipment; communicates patient care needs to the team.
• Supports leadership development and mentorship, and commits to ongoing growth and professional conduct.
• Care is provided in age-appropriate manner for Neonate to Adult age ranges.
