Bluebird Kids Health in Florida is seeking a dynamic Care Coordinator for the CARES Center. The role focuses on coordinating care, supporting families, and ensuring timely follow-ups in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

You will manage the provider inbox, calls, and scheduling while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and HIPAA-compliant communications; experience as a medical receptionist is preferred and appreciated in this collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage families in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Experience in a medical receptionist role or front-desk operations is preferred.
• Ability to manage communications and coordinate care efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative contact for care coordination tasks and keep families and care team aligned on next steps.
• Manage provider inbox: sort clinical docs, messages, and reminders; route items and track to completion.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls; schedule, confirm, and remind families about follow-ups (well visits, ADHD follow-ups, behavioral consults).
• Maintain task lists and documentation to support timely check-ins for patients needing frequent follow-ups.
• Coordinate outside appointments and diagnostics; gather paperwork, support prior authorizations, ensure results are received.
• Process referrals and prior authorizations per insurance requirements; document in EMR.
