Job summary

Bluebird Kids Health, a pediatric primary care provider serving underserved communities, seeks a Patient Access Specialist to be the first point of contact and ensure timely access to care.

You will manage inquiries, schedule appointments, document in EMR, and maintain HIPAA compliance while collaborating with care teams.

This role emphasizes bilingual communication and compassionate patient engagement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years in healthcare or healthcare contact center.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and time-management.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience with pediatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound patient interactions across phone, SMS, portal and webform.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, aligning with clinical teams and patient needs.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR with HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care team to align patient care and access.
• Proactively engage patients to improve access and experience.
