Job summary

KidMed is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Lab Technician to support pediatric care in our after-hours urgent care offices in Virginia. You will document charts, take patient vitals, and assist providers in delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities include keeping rooms clean and sterile, obtaining lab samples, and ensuring patients and caregivers are treated with respect and dignity. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required; pediatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year experience in pediatrics (preferred).
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred).
• Certification from an approved Medical Assisting program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Document patient charts and take vitals.
• Keep patient rooms clean and sterile.
• Obtain lab samples and assist providers.

Education

Pediatrics experience (1 year)
