Qualifications

• BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.
• BSN required within three years of hire for those hired after April 30, 2014.
• Professional nursing board certification required after two years of hire or at certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses to health problems.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing theories and evaluate effectiveness.
• Supervise/direct care by LPNs and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
• Assign/delegate care to other qualified team members.
• Coordinate care with other professionals as needed.
