Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to manage individualized patient care across the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while educating patients and families.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing, a Florida RN license, and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. You will collaborate with the care team, document findings, and respond to emergencies while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• Florida RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates care with the patient’s treatment team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Performs physical exams, nursing assessments and routine observations within established timeframes.
• Provides direct patient care including medications, wound care, injections, IVs and other treatments while using standard critical care equipment safely.
• Recognizes and intervenes in life-threatening emergencies, including administration of emergency drugs and ACLS protocols.
• Documents assessment findings, care provided, procedures performed and updates the plan of care as patient condition changes.
