Job summary

Children’s National Hospital seeks a Sr. Echocardiography Technologist to perform a variety of echocardiography procedures in a pediatric-specific cardiology lab. The role covers complex pediatric cases, including fetal studies, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of cardiology experience, completion of an approved echocardiography program, and ARDMS/CCI registration or eligibility with BLS current. Three days per week, 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED (Required) AND Graduate of an approved school of Echocardiography (Required)
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of prior cardiology experience
• 1 year full time dedicated pediatric experience in an echo laboratory
• Certifications/Licensure: Registered or registry eligible preferred by ARDMS or American Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac/Medical Sonographers (Required) OR CCI (Required) + BLS

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on complex pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Include fetal echocardiography when indicated and adhere to protocol
• Assist in analysis, documentation and quality assurance during studies
