Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a faculty physician to care for patients in hospital and clinics, with opportunities in research, education, and advocacy as determined by the Division Chief and center leadership.

The ideal candidate is an MD, board certified or eligible, with a strong commitment to CME, patient safety, ethics, and team mentorship. The role includes on-call duties, supervision of clinical staff, and participation in quality and advocacy programs.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school (Required).
• Board certified or eligible for board certification in primary practice specialty (Required).
• Board certification in relevant secondary specialty (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for patients in hospital and clinics.
• Provide on-call services as determined by division leadership.
• Oversee medical care teams and supervise staff and trainees.
• Engage in advocacy, education, and research activities.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with safety standards.
