Job summary

Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC is seeking a faculty physician to care for hospital and clinic patients and lead research, education, and advocacy initiatives as directed by the Division Chief and Center leadership.

The role requires MD from an accredited medical school, full medical license and board certification in primary specialty (board certification in secondary specialty preferred).

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school (Required).
• Fully licensed and credentialed attending staff at Children’s National Medical Center (Required).
• Board certified or eligible for board certification in primary practice specialty (Required).
• Board certification in relevant secondary specialty (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services for patients at Children’s Hospital and approved sites in an ethical, professional and timely manner.
• Provide oversight of the medical care team and manage direct patient care for a defined population.
• Provide on-call services as determined by division leadership.
• Engage in family-centered care and communicate professionally with trainees, families and providers.
• Collaborate with committees and teams to improve quality and safety; ensure proper documentation.
