Job summary

OU Health Partners is seeking an Advanced Practice Student for the CNS Track in Pediatric Cardiac Services. You are pursuing a Master’s in Nursing with a Clinical Nurse Specialist track and will gain exposure to multidisciplinary teams and leaders.

The program aims to prepare you for a traditional CNS role with direct mentorship and projects. Responsibilities include delivering care within RN scope, supporting evidence-based practice, and helping design patient-focused programs with the team.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) and enrollment in MSN Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist program.
• Experience requirements: 2 years RN experience in patient care.
• Licensure: RN license in OK or compact; CNS licensure within 90 days after graduation; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties within RN scope while learning as clinical expert in CNS track.
• Support evidence-based nursing practice and research.
• Design, implement and evaluate CNS-level care programs with multidisciplinary team.
• Lead change through coaching and committee participation.
