Job summary

OU Health Partners is seeking an Advanced Practice Student in the CNS Track for the Medical ICU & SD Services. The program targets MSN candidates in the Clinical Nurse Specialist track, offering exposure to CNS practice, multidisciplinary teams, and leadership development within OU Health.

The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, research support, and collaboration with physicians and staff to prepare for independent CNS practice.

Qualifications

• RN license in OK or compact license (eNLC)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
• Currently enrolled in an approved MSN/CNS program
• BLS certification required
• 2 years RN experience in patient care
• Certification as APRN to be acquired within 90 days after graduation

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within scope of an experienced RN
• Functions as a learning clinical expert in evidence-based practice
• Supports nursing research to advance evidence-based care
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on program design and care delivery
• Provides leadership in advancing nursing practice within student role
• Develops innovative solutions addressing system problems with CNS team
• Acts as a change agent through coaching and committees
