Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) in Minnesota is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in a school setting. You will assist with safe bus transportation, help students with mobility needs, and collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to assist with mobility and safety during transit.
• Strong communication with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Ensure all students are seated and secured properly during transit.
• Provide support to students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about issues during transportation.
• Attend to the needs of individual students, including personal care tasks if necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures on the bus.
• Help with other tasks in the school when needed.
