Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a full-time paraprofessional to support students on school buses in Minnesota. This role emphasizes safety, communication, and a positive environment for children.

The Bus Aide will help with boarding, seating, mobility, behavior monitoring, and coordination with drivers and school staff. PDS offers competitive hourly pay and strong benefits, including health, dental, vision insurance and an IRA match.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus.
• Ensure students are seated and secured during transit.
• Support students with mobility challenges, including chairs and mobility aids.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about issues.
• Attend to individual student needs, including personal care tasks if necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures on the bus.
• Assist with other tasks in the school as needed.
