Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities on bus routes. You will assist with boarding, seating, mobility support, safety, and clear communication with the bus driver and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Ensure students are seated and secured during transit
• Provide mobility support for students with mobility challenges
• Monitor behavior and maintain a safe environment on the bus
• Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about issues
• Attend to the needs of individual students including personal care tasks if needed
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures on the bus
• Assist with additional tasks in the school when required
