Job summary

ProMedica Health System in Toledo, OH seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers to deliver clinical excellence and enhance the patient experience.

You will prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs, performing specialized tests and preparing schedules, following clinical protocols and regulatory requirements. Communication is key as you interact with patients and the health care team, including relaying messages.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent and MA program completion or 1 year MA experience.
• Registration or Certification as CMA or active LPN/RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs and documenting them.
• Perform specialized tests and prepare schedules following protocols.
• Answer patient calls and relay messages to providers or nurses.
• Serve as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.
• Collaborate with clinicians to deliver clinical excellence and enhanced patient experience.
