Job summary

ProMedica Health and Wellness Center in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work in the Pulmonary department. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, perform tests, and coordinate preparation for visits, while supporting providers and the care team.

The role emphasizes patient communication, adherence to clinical protocols, and leadership among Medical Assistant and Patient Service Coordinator teams. This is a full-time, day-shift position located in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university or worked 1 year as an MA to meet the requirements to become certified.
• Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant through accredited body required; or active license from applicable state as an LPN/RN.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs, performing specialized tests and preparing schedules.
• Interact with patients, peers and all members of the health care team.
• Answer patient phone calls and relay messages for providers or nurses.
• Serve as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.
