Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited MA program or 1 year as MA may meet requirements.
• Registration or CMA certification; or active LPN/RN license.
• BLS (CPR) certification required or to be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs and preparing schedules.
• Perform basic specialized tests in accordance with protocols.
• Interact with patients, peers and the health care team; relay messages to providers/nurses.
• Serve as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinators.
