Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients requiring direct observation. You will work with the Bedside RN, BH team, MSW, and Medical Team to implement established behavioral plans.

Role includes cross-training to Nursing Technician tasks to support daily patient care and ADLs, with flexible shift patterns and a strong commitment to patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Trains in verbal de-escalation techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in psychiatric unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for patients requiring direct observation.
• Collaborate with RN, Behavioral Health team, MSW and medical team to implement behavioral plans.
• Cross-train to Nursing Technician tasks to assist with daily patient care and ADLs.
