This role requires CT RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and targeted certifications. The position emphasizes clinical leadership in the Emergency Department and coordination with the nursing manager on policies, performance management, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program for registered nurses.
• Current State of Connecticut RN licensure
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 3 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care for patients in behavioral health.
• Lead unit teamwork, ensuring patient, family and staff safety.
• Participate in hiring/orientation and performance management of staff.
• Coordinate with nurse manager on policies, incidents and quality improvement.
• Complete documentation timely per policies and standards.
