Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a registered nurse to deliver direct professional nursing care for pediatric patients under supervision, reporting to the Nurse Manager. The role emphasizes patient safety, family-centered care, and adherence to Connecticut Children’s standards.

You will participate in clinical practice, population-specific care, documentation, education, and teamwork within a pediatric behavioral health context.

Qualifications

• ASN required upon hire. BSN preferred within 3 years of hire.
• Experience in pediatrics and/or behavioral health preferred.
• License: CT RN licensure (or compact) and BLS/CPR mandatory on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care per standards and policies.
• Support patients and families with education and care planning.
• Demonstrate leadership within the unit and mentor staff as assigned.
• Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
