Job summary

Well Rooted Pediatrics in Frisco, TX is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant for our back office. This clinical role includes rooming patients, pediatric vitals, blood draws, immunizations, point-of-care testing, procedure assist, and vaccine inventory, under the Lead MA on a small team supporting three providers.

After a two-week orientation, you should be able to carry a provider's schedule. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM with no nights or

Qualifications

• MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA or equivalent) and current BLS.
• At least 2 years of hands-on clinical MA experience in a physician's office or outpatient clinic.
• Pediatric experience with rooming, draws, and vaccines.
• Working knowledge of pediatric immunization schedule and cold chain.
• Sound clinical judgment and ability to adapt to providers' preferences.
• Clear, calm communication and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and taking age-appropriate vitals from newborns to 21.
• Phlebotomy including venipuncture and specimen processing.
• Immunizations and vaccine inventory management.
• Point-of-care testing and assisting with procedures.
• Clinical coordination, communicating results and documentation in the EHR.
