Job summary

PRIME WELLNESS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our busy pediatric primary care team in Los Angeles. The role requires 5 years of MA experience in pediatrics, CPR certification, MA credential, and ability to assist with procedures and vital signs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a medical assistant in a pediatric primary care medical practice.
• Familiar with CDC Immunization Schedules.
• CPR certification is required
• Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma is required
• Ability to administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications
• Ability to obtain accurate vital signs
• Flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflow
• Knowledge to set up and assist physician with procedures such as audiometry, spirometry, O2 saturation, ear lavage
• Knowledge of safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
• Knowledge of EMR software (will train)
• Bilingual (not required): English/Spanish
