Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks a Pediatric Anesthesiologist with cardiac specialization to provide direct patient care and lead teaching for residents and trainees. The role includes involvement in subspecialty areas such as cardiovascular and pediatric anesthesia, critical care, pain management, and related research.

The candidate should hold an Oklahoma medical license or be eligible, and be BC/BE in Anesthesiology. Faculty appointments at OU College of Medicine are possible with experience.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma medical license or eligibility prior to employment.
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology expected within eligibility timeframe.
• Member of OU Health faculty with potential academic appointment commensurate with experience.
• Training/experience in cardiovascular, obstetric, pediatric anesthesiology, critical care, pain management or related research beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and supervision/teaching of residents, fellows, medical students and trainees.
• Role may include subspecialty work in cardiovascular, obstetric and pediatric anesthesiology, critical care medicine, pain management and related research.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees.
• Position in the subspecialties of cardiovascular, obstetric, and pediatric anesthesiology, critical care medicine, pain management, and goal-oriented research occasionally occur.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Oklahoma medical license prior to employment and be BC/BE in Anesthesiology
• Candidates are eligible for faculty appointments through the OU College of Medicine - appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience.
• Continued employment will be contingent upon successfully obtaining Board Certification in the eligibility timeframe of your specialty.
• Consideration for appointment in these roles would be given to candidates with demonstrated training and/or experience in the field.
