Job summary

OU Health seeks a Pediatric Anesthesiologist with cardiac subspecialty to provide direct patient care and participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.

The role spans cardiovascular, obstetric, and pediatric anesthesiology with opportunities in critical care, pain management, and research. Oklahoma Medical license and BC/BE are required or eligible; faculty appointments through OU College of Medicine follow academic criteria.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Oklahoma.
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility.
• appointment through OU College of Medicine with rank commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and supervision/teaching of residents, fellows, medical students, and trainees.
• Occasional involvement in subspecialties including cardiovascular, obstetric, pediatric anesthesia, critical care, pain management, and research.

Job Description:

• Direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees.
• Position in the subspecialties of cardiovascular, obstetric, and pediatric anesthesiology, critical care medicine, pain management, and goal-oriented research occasionally occur.

• Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Oklahoma medical license prior to employment and be BC/BE in Anesthesiology
• Candidates are eligible for faculty appointments through the OU College of Medicine - appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience.
• Continued employment will be contingent upon successfully obtaining Board Certification in the eligibility timeframe of your specialty.
• Consideration for appointment in these roles would be given to candidates with demonstrated training and/or experience in the field.
