Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center's Children’s Ambulatory Tupelo Specialty is seeking an RN I-Ambulatory to assess, plan, and deliver nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting in Tupelo, MS. This role coordinates patient scheduling, records, admissions, and works with family members to explain treatments.

You will document care in the EMR, collaborate with case managers and other health professionals, mentor new staff, and uphold patient confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license is required.
• Knowledge of nursing care procedures and protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with EHR systems and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by performing problem-focused assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments for patients in the physicians practice.
• Documents care in the patient’s electronic medical record.
• Coordinates the delivery of care within the practice setting and across health care settings.
• Administers and coordinates resources and direct clinical activities within the practice setting.
• Refers patients to needed services as ordered by the provider.
• Fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
