Job summary

IU Health is seeking an experienced RN for its Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, delivering care to children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional needs on a full-time day shift. You will join an interdisciplinary team involved in treatment planning and therapeutic interventions to support patients and families.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, boundary setting, relationship-building, and collaboration with the Behavioral Health department.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an NLC RN.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions for >2 years acute care experience.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric/adolescent patients with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Participate in treatment planning, interventions, and coordination with interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in de-escalation and establishing therapeutic boundaries.
• Contribute to patient and family relationships and education.
