Qualifications

• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric/adolescent patients with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Participate in treatment planning, interventions, and coordination with interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in de-escalation and establishing therapeutic boundaries.
• Contribute to patient and family relationships and education.

Our Adolescent Inpatient Psych Unit is hiring for a full-time day shift position! The RN for this unit delivers care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs. The Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Department supports two primary areas: the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Behavioral Health Access Center, (Psychiatric Holding Unit). RNs have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team and are involved in the treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic interventions specific to each patient’s goals. As a Registered Nurse in Adolescent Psychcompassion, leading nursing enrichment activities, establishing therapeutic boundaries,and being comfortable deescalating situations are all necessary components of patient care. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
