WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a clerical and admitting professional to support the pediatric department. The role involves greeting patients, admitting, transferring, and coordinating with multiple departments, while accurately handling computer entries and patient records.

The incumbent will enter orders in EPIC, arrange transportation, schedule follow-ups, and ensure timely communication across departments.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or secretarial school preferred.

Mansioni

• Greet and admit patients upon arrival to the department.
• Enter admitting information into the computer.
• Notify referring physician of admission as requested.
• Coordinate and facilitate intradepartmental and interdepartmental communications.
• Dispatch patient care personnel for transportation and bed assignments.
• Maintain patient records and related department records.
• Enter physician orders in EPIC accurately and promptly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and laboratory or imaging procedures.
